Today, we celebrate the feast of St. Barnabas, a companion of Paul and missionary in the early Church. Barnabas, “Son of Encouragement”, led many Jews and Greeks to an encounter with Jesus.
We all appreciate the people in our lives who are there beside us to encourage us. Whether they are supportive in getting us through each day or bolstering our confidence in pursuing a bigger dream, we appreciate them as companions and cheerleaders.
Am I someone others can count on to see the potential in them and their aspirations, or am I the first one to tell them all the reasons their ideas won’t work? How am I being called to encourage others today?
