Confirmation

“Jesus breathed on them [the disciples] and said” ‘receive the Holy Spirit’.”

John 20:22

Confirmation completes the grace of Baptism by a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit which seals or “confirms” the baptized person in union with Christ and equips them to live their Christian faith confidently, compellingly and compassionately.

Together with Baptism – always the first Sacrament – and Holy Eucharist, Confirmation fully initiates the person into the Church.

Purpose serves as our program for 8th grade students for the reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation.

In the Diocese of Toledo, the Sacrament of Confirmation normally is offered during the 8th grade year.
