The same Spirit that led Jesus into the desert at the beginning of His public ministry leads me into the desert of my daily life. Just as the Spirit strengthened and protected Jesus, I can rely on the Spirit’s protection in my vulnerability. The Spirit will shield me from yielding to temptation if I but rely on His abundant grace. With the Spirit, I have nothing to fear.
As I encounter others throughout my day, i am able to expose them to the grace and power of the Spirit as well. What a gift we bring to one another!
