How often I become irritated when I experience interruptions in my day! I have my plan, my schedule, my agenda for the day, and I don’t appreciate when someone or something interferes.
Much of Jesus’ ministry took place in the “interruption” times. The Gospels often relate miracles, encounters, teachings that occurred when He was “on his way” or “as He walked along.” Certainly, Jesus had a plan for His life and His day, but He also knew how to be fully present in the moment. Rather than seeing these encounters as interruptions of His plan, He saw them as opportunities to see His Father at work and to enter into the Father’s mission.
How am I being called to meet God in the interruptions of my day?
