We hear in Luke 15 of the incredible reality of God’s love. “While he was still a long way off, the Father caught sight of him and ran to meet him.”
Can I dare to believe God loves me in this way? Can I dare to believe He eagerly and constantly waits for me to return to Him? Can I dare to believe He greets me with the same loving embrace rather than punishing judgment for what I have done wrong? Can I dare to believe He actually celebrates having me back?
The Father’s love is always there. I only need to respond in the Sacrament of Reconciliation and in my daily life in order to receive His loving embrace.
