Today’s Gospel presents us with another resurrection appearance of Jesus (Luke 24:13-35). Two disciples are making their way from Jerusalem because Jesus in whom they placed their hope was killed. As they are walking Jesus catches up with them as if He, too, were just another traveler along the route.
They are too preoccupied to recognize Him.
- Let go of your desire to understand why something went wrong
- Turn away from the problem and turn toward God
- Let go of expectations of having a life without problems
