The Christian Task (6/18)

The Christian task always remains the same: to make Christ known no matter where we find ourselves.

Far too many people call themselves Christian only when it is convenient and comfortable for them. When others may mock, scorn and criticize Christian faith they cower and are afraid. They are more concerned about winning the favorable opinions of others than about the judgement of Christ. Such a disposition betrays superficiality, absence of commitment and tepid love for God.

Intentional disciples – mature Christians – are not afraid of what others will say, instead seeking always and everywhere to live their faith so that others may see their good works and give glory to God (cf. Matthew 5:16).
