Jesus is born of the Virgin Mary and raised in a family. He enters the world defenseless, in need of a mother and father who will protect him and teach him the things that all parents must teach their children.
The happiness and fulfillment of Mary and Joseph come from their understanding and acceptance of what God asks of them. God’s plan totally shapes their daily living – physically, emotionally and spiritually. Their shared resolve simply is to live obediently and cheerfully in accordance with God’s designs.
As we draw closer to the blessed Nativity of Our Lord, prayerfully imagine Joseph at the side of Mary as they prepare for the Holy Birth.
