Jesus reminds us that right attitude is seen in one of two ways. We are to be like a person starting out on an important journey. And we are to be as the person who is all prepared for the arrival of an much anticipated guest.
This much is for sure: intentional discipleship is neither drowsy nor neglectful. There is no looking the part when it comes to following Jesus. The Lord Jesus moves right pass the sleeping and self-absorbed.
Therefore, let us prepare our hearts for Jesus today, seeking to make our way to Him and ready for His encounter whenever He breaks into our day.
