The horrific violence erupting near the Boston Marathon finish-line is a stark reminder to us all that evil exists and that human life is precious and feeble.
Let us all pause for a moment and pray for the souls of those who were killed in this despicable act of violence. So, too, must we storm heaven on behalf of all those who were injured – current reports state over 170 total.
The proliferation of violence not only in Boston but throughout our culture including our own locality is alarming. Followers of Christ are called to resist violence and its grotesque manifestations, instead turning to the light of Christ making our way to Him and letting His Peace reign in our minds, our hearts, our homes and our country.
