Facing the strident criticism of the self-righteous Pharisees and scribes, Jesus tells one of his most moving parables. Popularly known as the “parable of the prodigal son”, the story focuses principally on the father and the interactions he has with his two sons.
A more accurate and descriptive title of Jesus’ story might be the parable of the loving father.
Jesus teaches us that we often seek God in the wrong places. God freely gives us all that He has. Dare you accept God’s invitation to receive from Him all that He so deeply desires to give you?
