Preaching Notes (Sun) October 22

In the time of our blessed Lord Jesus and as it was understood by all, the word hypocrite means to act on a stage, to play a part, to pretend (Matthew 22:18).

Being a sinner does not make one a hypocrite.

There is a huge difference between some who chooses wrongly and repents sincerely and someone who has no intention whatsoever of living a life pleasing to God and beneficial to others.

All hypocrites are sinners, but not all sinners are hypocrites.

How am I living? Do I mean what I say? Or am I acting on a stage, playing a part, pretending?
