Prayer is indispensable to the spiritual life. We even can say it’s very breath. We cannot live the Christian faith without praying regularly. Being Christian means being a person who prays. On our part effort and commitment is required to pray.
Although though prayer is something that can be learned and must be learned, it is not a skill to master but an encounter with the living God to experience.
Think of prayer as conversation with God. Whenever we pray we speak with God Whose love for us we know. God loves us and wants to be loved by us. Prayer always begins by God’s prompting us to make our way to Him. Because we first are loved by God we can love Him. Prayer is this exchange of love. As we grow in recognition of God’s love for us we more easily and joyfully converse with Him.
