Make the Most of Lent (3/7)

We simply don’t know what we are capable of doing until we are stretchedto discover it. Recall the teacher or mentor or coach along your way who cared enough to challenge you to see new possibilities and dared you to reach them.

Resist the temptation to squander the opportunity LENT provides to make exciting discoveries that will be difference makers in daily living.

The three traditional disciples of LENT – prayer, fasting, almsgiving– are meant to stretchus into better ways of living.

The goal of LENT is becoming different. The path is found by being stretched each day over the next six weeks. Remember: little gains over time lead to lasting victories.

“Miss no single opportunity of making some small sacrifice, here by a smiling look, there by a kindly word; always doing the smallest right and doing it all for love”   + Saint Therérè of Lisieux, the Little Flower (+1897)
