I have found it very important to set clear goals and, then, launch to make them happen. This holds true for my personal development including my relationship with God and living as a disciple of Jesus Christ and member of His Church.
Before all else – before the extra prayer, before the extra sacrifice, before the extra generosity – Lent is the splendid opportunity to think and act differently with an eye toward becoming different.
As we begin the first full week of Lent, I invite you to take a moment with me to consider where we are going, how we intend to arrive and how it’s really going. So, then:
- How do you want to be different on Easter morning?
- What are you doing to make this happen?
- What progress have you made so far?
- What stands in your way?
