Names are very important. Everyone appreciates others knowing their name. When a name is not known, we are not able to know the person completely.
We cherish hearing the name of our beloved ones who have gone before us in faith. I know how deeply I savor hearing and speaking my dad’s name even though his death now is more than three years ago.
However, one name is above all others. The holy name of the Lord God is supremely important. We reinforce this truth every time the Our Father is prayed: “Hallowed by Thy Name.”
Friends, do not be afraid to call our blessed Lord, Savior and Messiah by His Name – Jesus! Speak to Him by name and get to Him better throughout the new year.
