To be rooted in love we also must be rooted in humility, as only those who are humble are capable of deeply and faithfully loving God and their neighbor.
In this regard, don’t stop at the surface and merely consider material items. Humility must reach down into all places our pride wants to occupy including our approval and how we view others.
