Easter Wednesday (4/24)

We have a keen desire to find the Risen Lord Jesus. It is within us because God put it there. God wants us to find Him and to remain with Him.

For some the quest spans many long hard years. Often the desire is accompanied by serious preoccupation regarding the obstacles preventing our progress. If some difficulties are not enough, more seem to follow. How, then, will the stone blocking our soul ever be removed enabling us to find the Risen Lord Jesus and letting His victory become our very own?

The search for God is progressive. It is something that must be chosen daily and throughout our whole life. For this reason, the example of the holy women attested to in the resurrection narratives is one for us all to imitate. Their serious preoccupation was to find the Risen Lord Jesus Who does for us what we cannot do for ourselves.
