Acts 4:32-35
In the First Reading the unity of the earliest Church is the sign that its members are living the peace of the Risen Lord Jesus. All goodness is God’s gift for us to recognize fully and share generously.
John 20:19-31
The Gospel portrays two appearances of the Resurrected Christ to the disciples: first on Easter evening and, then, a week later. He does not wield vengeance for their shameful fleeing but instead brings the perfect peace that He Himself is. Though hatred has raged against Him, divine love proves to be the greater strength.
