Jesus wants us to see clearly and live fully: “Blessed are the clean of heart for they will see God” (Matthew 5:8 NAB).
According to Jesus, only the pure of heart are able to see and savor the divine beauty.
Those unable to see the Glory of God are blind to that which always and everywhere is most important. Why are some people unable to see clearly and live fully? Hearts that are superficial, pretentious, filthy, self-absorbed and miserable are unable to see the presence and power of God.
Hearts that are unclean and impure heighten insecurities and intensify insensitivies.
A clean and pure heart, however, leads to real and lasting joy by means of God truly being seen and our growing in love of Him and the people around us.
