Christians United (4/21)

“The community of believers was of one heart and mind” (Acts 4:32).

This description of the earliest Church from the Acts of the Apostles powerfully conveys the reverence, care and love of the first Christians. They made beautiful harmony by recognizing and meeting the needs of each other. So passionate was their defense of this unity  that they were willing to face persecution and even martyrdom to preserve and perpetuate it.

During the Last Supper, our blessed Lord Jesus prayed, “that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you” (John 17:21).

Genuine, searing love captures the attention of all.
