I do not like mushrooms. I have no difficulty avoiding them and precious few get through to my stomach.
My aversion toward mushrooms provides me with the faintest glimmer of how I adverse I must be toward offending God’s sovereign goodness in my daily living.
Intentional disciples display a heightened distaste of missing the mark God sets for us. They labor never to make a sinful wrong become agreeable.
It helps to steer clear from everything that might lead to our offending God. We make this plea every time we pray in the way taught us by our blessed Lord Jesus: “lead us not into temptation”. With God’s grace – power – let’s resolve anew to do this today.
