Ask the Lord for Lively Faith – October 6

There is such a thing as DEAD FAITH. Such lifeless faith does not save. It is faith devoid of works, a faith that is not lived. It is found wherever life is separated from belief.

There also is DORMANT FAITH. This is a lifestyle that the biblical writers describe as “lukewarm’. Like a deadly contagion, this looms as a real and dangerous threat to one’s soul.

What we need to develop is a FIRM FAITH. When faith is truly lived, we gain clearer and more compassionate understandings of our own circumstances as well as those involving others.

Like the apostles, ask the Lord to increase our faith (cf. Luke 17:5). Indeed, what Good News it is that He always desires to do so!
