Words spoken by the venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen set the stage perfectly: “Evil may have its hour, but God will have His Day.”
The hour begins. Palm Sunday. The holiest of weeks is upon us. Jesus takes upon Himself the crushing weight of the world’s sin. He assumes the sins of the world as if He Himself had been guilty of sin. Everything is done for us and for our salvation.
Let us not forget that evil is not from God. Oh no – it comes from our pride, our selfishness and our sins. God permits the evil hatched in our hearts to have its hour. However, before HOLY WEEK ends next Sunday, God will have His day.
