If love was determined by our neighbor’s qualities, on their merits or on their worth, or if it was based on the consolations and benefits we receive from them, then it becomes impossible to extend to everyone.
Alas, God says it is based on our neighbor’s proximity to Him and, thus, no one can be excluded from it.
