Every event of each day provides an opportunity to grow in grace and draw closer to Jesus. In times of temptation, Jesus is present, asking me to grasp this chance to imitate Him more closely by following his counsels.
- Tempted to impatience 50 times a day? “..learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart…” (Matthew 11:29).
- To pride? “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven” (Matthew 5:3).
- To unkindness? “‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you did it to me'” (Matthew 25:40).
Turn tiresome interruptions and irksome difficulties into golden moments of greater union with our blessed Lord Jesus.
