It always is encouraged to begin with the end in mind.
God is coming to us. It is for us, however, to get ready for Him, to prepare ourselves for His arrival. We want Him to find things in order and our soul fit to receive Him. Make whatever adjustments are required to ensure a course heading that brings us to the blessed goal we earnestly desire.
- We run a race with the finish line in mind.
- We sacrifice to accomplish the task.
- We commit to acheive the goal.
We remain at the ready when we especially are attentive to our personal prayer. This prevents ho-hum and indifference from marking our daily living. It keeps the goal before us in the midst of ordinary living: Jesus the Lord!
