Don’t Be Lukewarm (6/8)

There are far too many Christians who have lapsed into lukewarmness.

Jesus exhorts His followers to be salt and light (cf. Mt 5:13-16). The value of salt and light is witnessed expressly in their capacity to contribute for the real and lasting benefit of others. Salt as preservative and flavor enhancement, keeping food safe and adding zest. Light enables reality to be seen and, thereby, experienced more safely and completely.

There is nothing mediocre to be heard in the call of Christ.

Indeed, Jesus expects us to live for others. Intentional disciples make for safety, provide zest and help others to recognize the divine Glory in their daily living.
