Exodus 20:1-17
In the First Reading God makes known our responsibilities as partakers of His Covenant. The Ten Commandments clearly testify to the truth that God alone is to be worship, praised and sought. All worship rightly must be reserved for Him alone. Whether at worship, work, rest or play we grow in awareness of God by means of living according to His ways.
John 2:13-25
The dramatic story of Jesus’ cleansing of the temple is told in the middle of Lent for us to pause and ponder what constitutes true worship and what is a true house of God.
