Our parish Feast Day is coming, which also means it is time for our annual #LittleTuesday campaign to enhance our community life. Each year we use this as an opportunity to improve our parish and school communities in a variety of ways. This year is no different. What better way to honor our beloved patroness than by continuing to do little – and not so little – things with great love! Please read below for this year’s opportunities:
St. Benedict: Pre-School Playground + Liaison Officer:
We would like to create a playground dedicated just for our Preschoolers right outside their classroom in the green space near the statue of Jesus with the Children. Studies show Preschoolers need a dedicated playground for safety, age-appropriate challenges, and to support holistic development. A dedicated space allows them to develop crucial physical skills like coordination and balance without the interference of older children, fostering their independence and promoting social-emotional growth through safe and engaging play. Additionally, we are in need of help in paying for Liaison Officers to help keep our students safe during key times during our school days.
Cost of Playground + help with Liaison Officer: $55,000
Little Flower: New Windows and Doors leading to our Courtyard
Cost of 7 Replacement Windows & 2 Metal Doors: $20,000
Community: Grounds & Kitchen Upgrades
Cost of Gator Vehicle with Dump Bed & (2) 4 Burner Range Tops for Kitchen: $18,500
