Music Ministries

Music is an essential part of our dynamic and spirit-filled worship of God.

The PARISH CHOIR is a large group with over 40 active members and leads the singing from September through May at the 4:30p.m. Saturday Mass, as well as Designated Holy Days of Obligation. We have varied experience with members’ qualifications ranging from simple “sing-along” capability to others with backgrounds in professional music. We sing a variety of music including the common parts for Mass, contemporary and traditional Christian favorites. Striving always to sing at the highest possible level in our praise of God, we also enjoy one another socially with evenings of fun and fellowship during the year.

New members are always welcome. Reading music is helpful, but not a necessity. If you can sing a melody and harmony line in tune and would be interested in a fulfilling ministry of service to our parish, please join us!

Choir practices occur every Thursday evening from September through May from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The guitar-led CONTEMPORARY CHOIR leads the music at the 11:00 a.m. Sunday Mass.  Rehearsals take place on Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m.

Children’s Choir

Our Children’s Choir is made up of children in grades 2 through 6. The children sing at the Christmas Eve Children’s Mass and on other special occasions. They learn a variety of music and are actively engaged in the Mass. Interested children are required to participate in the rehearsals.

Funeral Choir

The FUNERAL CHOIR leads the music for Funeral Masses.  We gladly accept your time and talent to participate in this special ministry that serves to lessen the sense of loss experienced by those grieving the departure of a loved one.

Cantors

CANTORS lead the assembly during Mass.
