Helping Others Reach Jesus (1/18)

The Gospel of today’s Mass tells the story of Jesus healing a paralytic lowered to Jesus inside a house where He was teaching crowds who had come from many towns of Galilee and Judea (Mark 2:1-11).

The inability of the four friends to reach Jesus easily did not lessen their resolve. Assuredly these obstacles would have been more than enough for others to give up, however, these devoted friends remain determined to act on behalf of one in dire need.

Intentional disciples seek to be instruments of God’s merciful power, working faithfully on behalf of family and friends who, if left alone, seem unable for a variety of reasons to reach Jesus, who is waiting for them.

How do you display concern to help others encounter Jesus?
