Our Catholic Faith starts with friendship; namely, friendship forged with Jesus Christ. We acknowledge Jesus as our Lord, Savior and Messiah and dare to do so as His friends. We learn God’s ways for us from Him and encounter Him through the Holy Sacraments He established for His Church.
Jesus alone offers us His Body and Blood and words for eternal life.
Currently, we are enduring a most painful and alarming crisis of Catholic credibility.
What are we supposed to do? Respond obediently to Christ’s summons to greater purification through far more radical reliance upon Him. That is, we are to lean on Jesus, to make our way to Him, to keep our sights set squarely on Him (cf. Hebrews 12:2).
