Easter Sixth Sunday [B] 5/12/15

Acts 10:25-26, 34-35, 44-48

The First Reading shows us that the grace of becoming and remaining a Christian always is a free gift from God, Who pays no attention to a person’s status and lavishes divine love upon all people.

John 15:9-17

Today’s Gospel Reading has the sound of a last will and testament. These words of Jesus are intended to remain alive in the hearts of believers. They represent an irrevocable promise. Jesus clearly professes His great love, a love that rests in His death for His friends. As His friends, it is left to us to carry out His assignments.
