The very best prayers always are simple and sincere. A favorite of mine repeats the words spoken in simplicity and sincerity to Christ Jesus as recorded in the Gospel: Lord, help me. What a powerful expression of self-surrender to the love and mercy of God that relates all our needs, most especially those having to do with the urgent and important matters of our soul.
I pray this prayer often; some days, even dozens of times.
